Emergency Management

In cooperation with the Texas Division of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service the City of Dublin is reminding all citizens of Severe Weather Awareness Week as established by Governor Rick Perry.

The Governor has issued a proclamation making the week of February 21-27, 2010 as Severe Weather Awareness Week throughout the State of Texas.   All communities across the State are being encouraged to prepare themselves to deal with extreme weather events that come our way in Texas.

The City of Dublin Emergency Management Coordinator reminds all residents to update emergency plans, double emergency supply kits and get prepared for tornadoes, floods, hail, straight line windstorms, severe winter weather and other hazardous events.

It is my desire as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Dublin to inform all residents on ways to become prepared for these serious weather events.  All residents must be prepared to act quickly in the event of one of these major weather events.

Therefore, I have provided some information from the Texas Department of Emergency Management that will be helpful to residents as we all prepare to respond in the appropriate manner in the event of severe weather occurrences.
Additionally, any resident desiring more information on developing safety plans or assistance relative to responding to severe weather events may contact me at the Police Department.

Sincerely,

Lannie Lee, Chief of Police

City of Dublin Emergency Management Coordinator
